They Don’t Care About Halloween

I have been holding on to this since before Halloween, and it should have been written earlier. It is my own fault for delaying this blog posting. So, here it goes.

Halloween; people celebrate monsters, ghouls, goblins, witches, etc. Things that could be considered demonic activity, right? What does the Word of GOD say about witchcraft?

Leviticus 19:31 ³¹ “Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.

Galatians 5:19-21

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, ²¹ envy,^[a] drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do^[b] such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Of course, there is more, but let me get to the issue, and that issue is that demonic activity is not concerned about Halloween. Why? Because it wants to destroy your Christmas. How? With anger, depression, division, malice, and so forth. This day that we call Christmas, which has become a commercial holiday about money, presents, gifts, etc., and was once the time set aside by the church to acknowledge and celebrate the birth of Christ, has been forgotten. They don’t care about you celebrating Halloween. They want to make us think that we are doing a good thing for Christmas, but when we get discouraged because we don’t have the money to celebrate Christmas and buy gifts for our loved ones, and fall into depression. The forces that we wrestle with start winning through depression, through discouragement, and through anger. They don’t care about Halloween; they want to attack us during our vulnerable times, and a LOT of us are vulnerable during the Christmas holidays. My brothers and sisters know that the Word of GOD does not specifically point to December 25^th as the exact day that Jesus was born, but its ok if the church recognizes and sets aside this day to say Happy Born day to Jesus, and praise GOD for His only begotten Son! So, defeat depression, defeat anger, defeat sadness, defeat fear knowing this:

John 10:10 

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
